Get those diaries out - I have a new PIRATES SHOW coming up at the Rose Theatre main auditorium on Saturday, 6th October 2018, 10:30am! From the Rose Theatre website: "Una Coello Guitar Girl is a children’s musician whose Singalongs for under sixes celebrate the joys of music, rhythm and rhyme in a fun, friendly environment. Hot on the heels of her recent Jungle Jive, Hallowe'en, Fun on the Farm and Wild West shows, Una returns with Pirates! Sing along with all your favourite seafaring songs and action rhymes including A Sailor Went to Sea, My Bonny Lies Over The Ocean, A Pirate’s Life For Me and many more! Little ones are encouraged to dress up in their pirate gear and there’ll be themed toys and props plus the chance to play along with a variety of percussion instruments. Come along and join in the fun – AAARRRRRRRR!! My new class is for all the grown-ups who want to take their singing out of the shower or the car and get together for a social hour of harmony on Thursday nights! First class is this week - why not join us? All welcome!
Some pics and video from our singalongs today featuring special guest, the legendary children's musician, Stephen Grocott.
Delighted to return to the Rose Theatre auditorium with my latest big show for under sixes: UNA'S JUNGLE JIVE! I've got lots of new music as well as props and percussion instruments to create a wonderful jungle atmosphere with rainforest rhythms, animal action rhymes and safari songs! Hope you can dig out your favourite animal costume and join me! Full details and booking below.
Autumn is here and Hallowe'en is just around the corner, so now is as good a time as any to announce my next big Under Sixes Show at Rose Theatre Kingston... SPOOKY AUTUMN SHOW Saturday 14th October, 10:30am, in the main Auditorium at Rose Theatre Let's boogie on down and get our scary on as we celebrate the Hallowe'en season! Dress up in your ghastliest garb and join me for spooky songs, dastardly ditties and freakish fun! Last year this show was a huge hit - check out my photo gallery and YouTube video for a reminder of the fun we had! Tickets are £6 and can be booked directly from the Rose - see link below. So tell all your friends, get cracking on that creepy costume and hopefully I'll see all my favourite little ghouls and boys there! Some video highlights from 2016's Hallowe'en show at the Rose Gallery of photos from last year's Hallowe'en show at the Rose St. Patrick's Day is coming up next week and I'm really looking forward to sharing with you some of the songs of my childhood. ☘️
I'm very excited to be collaborating with my friend Shirley, who for many years ran Yo Baby! world music classes for little ones in Surbiton - some of you may know her already! She's now based in West Sussex and I will be travelling there on Wed 15th where Shirley and I will perform together in her Magical Yurt. Shirley will then join me at The Rose Theatre on Thursday 16th to showcase some of her many talents. Shirley plays a variety of Irish musical instruments, having grown up in a very musical Irish family - some pics above from when I joined her St. Patrick's Day classes last year. You are in for a treat!!! I have a great selection of Irish songs and tunes lined up for you on both Thursday and Friday, including:
Make sure and wear your brightest green and join me for lots of diddley-eyedey-o tunes, a little bit of Riverdancing and a chance to play the bodhrán! We'll also raise a toast to St. Patrick! (Nothing heavy, just some apple juice in a shot glass ☘️) These classes are always popular and booking up quickly already - don't miss out! I'm back in the main auditorium of the Rose Theatre Kingston with a new big show for under sixes - FUN ON THE FARM! It's on Saturday 28th January with two shows, 10am and 11am. Hope you'll join me for the moo-sical merriment! Tickets available directly from the Rose here.
As the year comes to an end, I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to all my singalongers! We've had a great year together and I wish you and all your families a happy, exciting, relaxed and restful Christmas. To the little ones having their first Christmas this year, and the bigger ones who are already on very close terms with Santa and the elves, I hope you have a wonderful time and find something fabulous under the Christmas tree!
Term starts again on Thursday 5th / Friday 6th January at Rose Theatre Kingston which will be the venue for classes on both days. My earlybird offer still applies up to midnight today, Friday 16th December, so if you want to grab it, get in there fast! I've also got my 3 for 2 offer on CDs running until end of day today, in case you need any last minute gifts for little music lovers! I'll sign off now with a few pics from last week's Santa singalong at the Rose. Now to get cracking on my own Christmas preparations! Lots of love to you all and see you in 2017! xx Una Delighted to be back this week at YMCA Surbiton and Rose Theatre Kingston - if you can't wait until Thursday or Friday, here's a little something to whet your appetite in the meantime! I've uploaded some videos from our Jungle-themed singalongs in June of this year. Hope you enjoy them! |
